Crowding People In

Ask most everyday people what they can do to solve their community’s problems, and they will likely assign both blame and responsibility to government. But the most extraordinary social movements were fueled by ordinary people who came together behind a vision of a better future. Our job is to remind people of their own power — and responsibility — to make change by lifting up stories from the past and reigniting a sense of pride. Leaders who are skilled at crowding people in help tap into the collective strength of communities and their members.
