Dr. Joanna Mimi Choi

Dr. Joanna Mimi Choi (she/her) is a pediatrician passionate about empowering communities to thrive.  She brings her lived experience as a mother, doctor, and public health professional who has worked in community, county, and state-level health systems to think creatively about CaseMaking.  Dr. Choi received her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, MD from Harvard Medical School, MPH from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, and participated in the Pediatric Leaders Advancing Health Equity (PLUS) program during her residency at UCSF.  In addition to continuing to see patients at Asian Health Services, Mimi loves to cook and bake with her daughters, run and hike with friends, and generally explore the wonder of the world with her family.
